Welcome to Monopoli! To reach this beautiful holiday home in the old town, you can walk across the small old fishing port or along the picturesque beach of Cala Porta Vecchia. You stroll through the narrow alleys or along the waterfront along the promenade of “Lungomare”. Casa Solomare is a stone’s throw away from the imposing castle of Charles the V. Through a stone gate you can see the old harbour with its typical blue fishing boats. The former fishing cottage, lovingly restored, has a special flair. It is located in the old town of Monopoli – about 50 kilometres south of Bari and 60 kilometres north of Brindisi.

This historic fisherman’s house has belonged to our fishing family Comes for generations until I converted it into a stylish holiday home. To me, this flat reflects our family’s great attachment to the town of Monopoli and their passion for the sea. One of the special features of this former fisherman’s cottage is its unique location directly on the seafront. From every window there is a view of the crystal clear water. Inside, the guest is welcomed by an elegant tuff stone vault. Its noble furnishing and the private roof terrace make Casa Solomare an exclusive holiday home. Nearby you will find a supermarket, a bakery, a choice of restaurants, bars and much more.

The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you need to cook like at home.

From the kitchen you can access the living and sleeping area through a door.

Two elegant lounge chairs provide a view of the sea. A small balcony in front of the bedroom completes the typical Italian ambience. Next to a double bed (170 cm x 200 cm) a spacious wardrobe offers space for suitcases and clothes.

The living and sleeping area are equipped with air conditioning. Central heating and a pellet stove guarantee cosy warmth and romantic moments on cold days. You sit in front of the fireplace and listen to the sea outside.

From the kitchen area a convenient staircase leads up to the roof terrace, which offers spectacular sea views. A part of the terrace is covered with a small pavilion. A small outdoor kitchen with sink allows cooking under the open sky. There you will find a dining table with 2 chairs, 2 deck chairs, 1 relax armchair and a BBQ grill.

Important information:

This flat is located in the historical centre of Monopoli in a traffic-reduced area. Access for vehicles is restricted. Parking spaces are available directly outside the limited traffic area and can be reached in only 5 minutes by foot.

Like many typical old townhouses in Monopoli this flat also has a small number of stairs (from the kitchen to the roof terrace). Please contact us for detailed information.
